At Capistrano Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, we offer several anesthesia options to make your procedure as comfortable and safe as possible. Dr. Brewer will help you choose the option that best fits your needs and explain what to expect before, during, and after your visit.
Before Anesthesia
- Avoid all food and drinks, including water, for 8 hours before surgery.
- Do not smoke for at least 12 hours beforehand.
- Bring a responsible adult who will stay on-site and drive you home.
- Wear loose clothing with short sleeves and low-heeled shoes.
- Remove dentures, contact lenses, and jewelry.
- Avoid makeup, nail polish, and lipstick on the day of surgery.
- Tell us about any illness or medications before your procedure.
